Tyvek wristbands

Tyvek wristbands are the lightweight bands most Australian venues use for a one-night party, festival gate or club door. People also search for party wristbands. Same product. Order plain, black print or full colour, or ask us for a quote if you have a guest count and artwork ready.

In short

  • A tyvek wristband wraps the wrist and sticks shut. If someone tries to pass it on, the join tears.
  • Party wristbands in Australia are almost always tyvek, not supermarket paper tape.
  • Choose a plain colour for door splits, black print for a simple logo, or full colour when the design has to match.
  • We make 19mm and 25mm. Price depends on the print and how many you need. You will see it on the product, or we can quote the order.

What tyvek wristbands are

Tyvek is a synthetic, paper-like sheet. It looks like paper, but it holds up to sweat and a bit of rain, and it shows tampering because the sticky join rips rather than peeling clean. That is why door staff like it: one band, one guest, one night.

People often call them paper party wristbands. That mix-up has its own page: paper wristbands. If another site is selling paper bands for events, they usually mean tyvek. True office paper falls apart on a dancefloor.

Pick the print based on how much branding you need on the night.

When to use them

Use tyvek when the job is tonight's door, not a three-day camping wrist. Staff can colour-code queues, mark over-18, or run a paid upgrade without reprinting tickets.

If guests should keep the band afterwards, look at slap wristbands or silicone wristbands. If the event lasts several days in the weather, woven wristbands hold up better. And if you need a staff ID around the neck, that is a custom lanyard.

FAQs

What is a Tyvek wristband?+
It is a tamper-evident event band made from Tyvek, a synthetic paper-like sheet. You wrap it, seal it, and it rips if someone tries to transfer it. Australian parties and venues use it as the standard one-night entry band.
Are Tyvek wristbands waterproof?+
They handle sweat, spills and light rain outdoors. They are not a swim product. If guests will be in water all day, choose silicone or slap wristbands instead.
Are Tyvek wristbands printable?+
Yes. We print black and full colour, in 19mm and 25mm, plus plain colour-only bands. See the options in tyvek wristbands.
Can you write on Tyvek wristbands?+
You can mark a plain band with a permanent marker at the door if you need a last-minute code. For a logo or a guest-facing design, order black print or full colour rather than handwriting a run.
