Workplace and event crew

Staff lanyards

A staff lanyard is a printed neck strap that holds a workplace or event crew ID. You can have the word Staff already on the fabric, or put your logo on it instead. It is the same printed lanyard an office or a festival uses for people who need a pass all day. Schools usually want campus colours, so start with teacher lanyards. Shop the range, or ask us for a quote with a headcount and artwork.

In short

  • The job is visible ID for people who work the site, not a tear-off door ticket.
  • Buy Printed Staff when the role is enough, or full colour when the logo has to match.
  • Split guests onto Printed Visitor so a reception desk can tell them apart at a glance.
  • A handful of straps is a small run. A clasp that pops open if pulled is breakaway.

Staff, logo, or visitor

There is no official set of three lanyard types. For a workplace or an event crew, this is the split people actually order.

Office desk or event crew

An office usually wants the same colour every year, a clip that will hold a photo ID, and often keys on the same strap. Navy polyester with Staff already printed is enough for a lot of workplaces. Full colour is the better pick when the mark on the fabric has to match the letterhead.

Event staff lanyards are the same product on a shorter timeline. A weekend crew might need a colour door staff can see from across a room, and a mix of Staff, Visitor, Contractor or Security so roles do not blur. Personalised in this shop usually means your logo on the strap, not a unique name printed on every piece.

If you only need a dozen, see small run lanyards. If the workplace wants a clasp that comes apart if the strap is pulled, say that when you ask us for a quote. Price depends on quantity and extras. You will see it on the lanyard you pick, or we will quote the job.

FAQs

What is a staff lanyard?+
A staff lanyard is a neck strap that holds a staff ID. The word Staff can sit on the fabric, or you can put a logo on it and still use it as a staff pass. Office teams and event crew buy the same printed lanyard.
What are the three types of lanyards?+
There is no official set of three. For a workplace we usually split Staff wording, a logo strap, and Visitor so guests are obvious. Fabrics are a different split: polyester, nylon, or recycled. Pick the job first, then the fabric in custom lanyards.
What can I use instead of a lanyard?+
A clip-on badge without a strap, or a reel that sits on a belt. Wristbands are a poor all-day ID for staff who need hands free and a visible pass. If people still need something around the neck, a printed lanyard is the usual choice.
What is the most comfortable lanyard?+
There is no single most comfortable one. Nylon feels smoother on the neck than polyester for some people. A wider strap spreads the weight of keys. A clasp that pops open is a safety choice, not a comfort one. Start with the fabric you like in custom lanyards, or ask us for a quote if you want help picking.
