A plastic clip wristband is a plastic strap that locks with a clip. It is the usual step up when tyvek is too flimsy for the door, but you still need a band that marks who is in. How the clip works
The strap is plastic, not the paper-like sheet used for tyvek. A clip at the end closes the loop. Door staff can see the colour from a step away, and the join is harder to peel than a sticky tyvek tab. That is the whole point of this band.
People buy them for nightclub doors, wet outdoor gates, and any one-night or return-visit entry where tyvek would take a beating. They are sold as a reusable event band. They are still an access strap, not a fashion bracelet.
Not a slap band
Search often mixes the names up. A slap wristband sits flat, then curls around the wrist when you tap it on. It comes off. A plastic clip wristband is a door lock. If you need the snap-on, go to slap wristbands.
Tyvek is the lightweight Australian party band. It wraps and sticks, and the join tears if someone tries to pass it on. Use that for a standard birthday or club night. Use plastic clip when you want the tougher strap. For a camping festival, woven is still the usual multi-day ticket.
