Event wristbands
Event wristbands are the bands guests wear so door staff can see who is allowed in. One colour might mean paid entry. Another might mean over 18, or crew. Should guests keep the band?
Door bands are meant to tear or lock so they cannot be passed around. Slap and silicone come off and go back on. Use those when the band is a souvenir or a cause colour, not the ticket.

Most people who type event wristbands are not hunting for a brand name. They have a date, a crowd, and a door that has to move. Use the notes below if you already know the kind of event.
Parties and venue doors
For a birthday, a club night or a one-off show, tyvek wristbands are the usual answer in Australia. They look like paper, they survive a night of sweat, and they tear if a guest tries to hand theirs to a friend outside. When the band is a message people should still be wearing on Monday, use a keepable. Slap wristbands snap on. Silicone wristbands stretch on. Schools, charities and brands use both as a colour or a short line of wording. They are not a tear-off door ticket. If staff need an ID around the neck instead of a band, that is a custom lanyard.
Colour coding
