Camping weekends

Festival wristbands

A festival wristband is the ticket guests wear. Staff lock it on at the gate. Security reads it for the rest of the event, including after a shower and a night in the tent. For a camping weekend that is almost always a woven fabric band. Order from the woven range, or ask us for a quote if you have dates and artwork ready.

In short

  • The band is the ticket. Guests cannot lose it in a pocket, and they cannot easily pass it to a friend outside.
  • A camping or multi-day music event usually wants woven. A one-day gate can use tyvek.
  • They are meant to get wet. Sleep in them. Shower in them. That is why promoters use fabric instead of a paper-like strip for a long weekend.
  • Want your artwork on the strap? See custom wristbands. Price depends on the weave and how many you need. You will see it on the product, or we can quote the order.

What the band is for

At a festival the wristband replaces the paper ticket after the first scan. Crew fit a fabric strap, slide the clip, and the guest is in. From then on the colour and the print tell security whether they hold a day pass, a weekend, camping, or crew access.

That is a different job from a birthday door, and from a silicone loop people wear for a cause. If you are still choosing material for a party or a school day, start with event wristbands. If you already know you need fabric, the product page is woven wristbands.

A wedding that wants the same locked-on look as a festival uses the same woven band. It is still an access strap, not jewellery.

Day, weekend or camping

Split the ticket types first. Then pick a band that will last that long.

Rain, showers and swimming

Woven festival bands are made to stay on in the rain and in a campsite shower. They get wet. They dry on the wrist. That is normal. They are not a swim-racing product, and they are not meant to be taken off each night.

Tyvek handles a bit of weather at a one-day gate. It is the wrong tool if guests will shower in the band for three days. For a tougher one-day strip that still locks, look at plastic clip.

If you want a lower-impact fabric option, the woven range includes a recycled-plastic weave. If you want a keepable souvenir people take off after the event, that is slap or silicone, not the locked festival ticket.

FAQs

Where can I buy wristbands for an event?+
For a multi-day festival in Australia, start with woven wristbands. For a one-day gate, use tyvek. If you have dates, a guest count and artwork, ask us for a quote and we will quote the job.
Why are festival wristbands hard to take off?+
On purpose. Staff lock a one-way clip so the band cannot slide off and get handed to someone outside. Guests sleep in it. If a band comes off easily, it is not doing the ticket job. Use woven when that lock is what you need.
