ID cards and lanyards
ID cards and lanyards are what you give someone so they can wear a name and a photo around their neck. The lanyard is the printed strap. The ID card is the plastic with the details on it. A clear holder clips the two together. We print the lanyards and the cards. Order from the shop, or ask us for a quote with how many people you have.

In short
- We print custom lanyards and double sided plastic cards. If you would like a holder on each lanyard, say so when you order.
- If you already have plastic cards, you only need the lanyards. That is covered on custom lanyards.
- Lanyards that already say Staff are on staff lanyards. Guest lanyards are on visitor lanyards.
- Door crew use security lanyards. Trades use contractor lanyards. A guest of honour who needs a neck pass uses VIP lanyards.
- Price depends on how many you need and what you add. You will see it on the product, or we can quote the whole order.
What you get
Most people who ask for ID cards and lanyards are setting up an office, a school, or an event where staff and guests need to be obvious in a corridor. They want a pass that hangs in sight, not a wristband on the door.
The lanyard is polyester or nylon, with your logo or a word such as Staff or Visitor printed on it. The ID card is hard plastic, printed on both sides if you want a photo on one face and a date or role on the other. The holder is a clear sleeve. It lets you swap the card without changing the lanyard, which is useful when the same strap goes back to reception at the end of the day.
If you already have cards, order the lanyards on their own. If you are starting from nothing, order both and tell us whether you would like holders included.
How to order
Same as any printed lanyard. The only extra is saying whether you need the cards and holders too.
- 1
Pick the lanyard
Open custom lanyards and choose a fabric. Full colour if the logo has to match. Printed Staff or Printed Visitor if you want that word already on the fabric.
- 2
Add the cards
Order double sided plastic cards with the same quantity, or skip them if you already print cards in house. Send artwork, or a list of names, and we will set out a proof.
- 3
Tell us about holders and extras
If you would like a holder on each lanyard, write that on the order. A clasp that comes apart if someone yanks the strap is breakaway. A small office can start with a small run. Or ask us for a quote with the headcount and we will price it as one order.
