Conference lanyards
A conference lanyard is a printed neck strap that holds a delegate or speaker badge. It is the same custom lanyard we make for offices, with the event logo on the fabric so registration can see who belongs in the room. We print the strap. You slot the name card into the holder. In short
- The job is a visible badge around the neck for a short event, not a door ticket on the wrist.
- Custom conference lanyards are your logo on the strap. Full colour is the usual pick when the mark has to match.

Who wears them
A conference kit is one print job with a few roles. The strap is the same product. The colour and the wording are how floor staff tell people apart.
Delegates
This is most of the order. One colour, the event logo, a clip and a badge holder. Polyester is enough for a day in a hall. Nylon is a smoother strap if people will wear it through a dinner as well.
Speakers and exhibitors
Give them a second colour so chairs and floor staff can spot them without reading the card. The logo can stay the same. You are not ordering a different kind of lanyard. You are ordering a second colour of the same print.
Crew
Registration, AV and security need to look like staff, not like delegates. Use a crew colour, or Printed Staff. The longer write-up for workplace and event crew is staff lanyards. Day visitors checking in can use Printed Visitor.
The strap and the badge
Searches for conference badges and lanyards often mix two products. We print the neck strap. The name on the card is usually yours: a mail-merge from the registration list, slid into a clear holder at the desk. Tell us if you need holders and clips on the order. Do not assume a unique name is woven into every strap.
If the venue wants a clasp that comes apart if the strap is pulled, see breakaway lanyards and say that when you order. Speaker extras and late registrations are a small run.
