Party wristbands

Party wristbands are the bands door staff put on so they can see who has paid, who is over 18, or who is on the guest list. In Australia that is tyvek: a lightweight strip that wraps, sticks, and tears if someone tries to pass it on. We print them in Melbourne in 19mm and 25mm. Order plain, black print or full colour, or ask us for a quote with a guest count.

In short

  • Party wristbands in Australia are tyvek. People also call them paper. Same product.
  • Use colours for the door split: paid, guest list, over 18. Add a logo if the band should look like the party.
  • We make 19mm and 25mm. Printed in Melbourne. Express to Sydney, Brisbane and nationwide.
  • A camping weekend wants woven. A keepable loop wants silicone or vinyl. Price is on the product, or we can quote the order.

What party wristbands are

The job is tonight's door. Staff wrap a band as people arrive. The colour tells them who is in. If a guest tries to hand theirs to a friend outside, the sticky join rips. That is why venues, birthdays, hens and club nights use tyvek rather than a stamp that washes off.

If you typed paper party wristbands, paper wristbands is the same buying job. Office paper soaks through. Tyvek looks like paper and lasts the night.

Colours, widths and print

Pick the door code first. Add print only if the band also has to look like the party.

When they are the wrong tool

Party wristbands are a one-night door ticket. If guests camp, shower and come back through the gate for three days, that is festival wristbands on woven fabric.

If people should still be wearing the band next week, use a keepable: vinyl slap bands or silicone. Those come off and go back on. They are not a tear-off door ticket.

Need a tougher locked door than tyvek? Plastic clip is the same job with a clip. Crew IDs around the neck are staff lanyards, not another party colour mixed in with the crowd.

FAQs

Where can I buy party wristbands near me?+
We print party wristbands in Melbourne and express them Australia-wide, including Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Order tyvek online, or ask us for a quote with a guest count and colours.
Are party wristbands the same as paper wristbands?+
In Australia, yes. Sites that sell paper party wristbands almost always mean tyvek. True office paper falls apart on a dancefloor. See paper wristbands if that is the wording you used.
Can I get custom party wristbands with a logo?+
Yes. Black print for a simple logo or name. Full colour when the design has to match. That is still tyvek, just printed. Start with custom wristbands or order from the tyvek range.
What size party wristbands should I order?+
19mm is the usual party door band. 25mm reads better in low light and takes a larger logo. Both are on the tyvek products.
