What people use them for

Most of the time the band is a visible pledge. A fundraiser colour. A school house. Tour merch. Staff colour at a festival. It survives the shower and the gym, which is why people keep them longer than a tyvek party band.

It is a poor choice if you need to stop a guest handing entry to a friend at the door. Use tyvek or plastic clip for that. And if you want a snap-on that goes on at a stall, slap wristbands are the closer cousin.
